Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of Africa’s most biologically diverse rainforests and the crown jewel of Ugandan tourism. This ancient, mist-shrouded jungle is home to roughly half of the world’s surviving mountain gorillas, making it the premier destination on the continent for face-to-face encounters with these gentle giants.
Gorilla Trekking
Guided treks set out each morning to track habituated gorilla families. The terrain is steep and dense, but the reward is an unforgettable hour spent in the presence of a gorilla group. We arrange porters and accessible routing wherever possible so more travellers can share in the experience.
Beyond the Gorillas
With over 350 bird species and 120 mammals, Bwindi rewards every kind of nature lover. Community-led Batwa cultural walks offer a moving window into the forest’s original inhabitants and their deep connection to this landscape.
